JM: Did you have regular access to telephones?
Jessica: NO I DID NOT.
Joe Smith: Yes but the phone company that they used required your family on the outside to set up an account prior to you being able to call collect to them.

JM: What types of charges applied for calling people?
Jessica: I COULD NOT CALL ANYONE.
Joe Smith: Pretty steep.

JM: Did you need to buy phone cards to call out?
Jessica: NO, I WAS NOT GIVEN THE OPTION.
Joe Smith: You had the option but you could also call collect

JM: Did the jail screen your calls?
Jessica: I WAS ALLOWED ONE CALL WHEN I WAS FIRST BOOKED. I CALLED MY GRANDMA TO COME AND GET MY CHILD..THEY DID SCREEN THIS CALL.
Joe Smith: They claimed to.
