Ramsey County Jail

Clothing

Interview with Jessica and Joe Smith

JM: What types of clothes were most common?
Jessica: I HAD TO WEAR A FORM OF "JAIL SCRUBS". I COULD NOT WEAR MY NORMAL STREET CLOTHES. THE SCRUBS WERE ORANGE.
Joe Smith: everyone wore an orange jumpsuit and the gross part was that you were issued one pair of underwear and you never got ther opportunity to exchange them.

JM: Did you have a set uniform? What did it look like?
Jessica: YES, AS ABOVE. THE "JAIL SCRUBS" WERE ORANGE. SHORT SLEEVED SHIRT WITH PANTS. VERY THIN MATERIAL.
Joe Smith: Orange jumpsuit

JM: Were there any assigned clothes in high demand that an inmate should look for when getting clothing assigned?
Jessica: NO, NOT TO MY KNOWLEDGE.
Joe Smith: NO, everyone had the same clothing options

JM: Was the clothing different between men and women?
Jessica: NO, I DO NOT BELIEVE SO. I JUST REMEMBER THE ORANGE COLOR OF THE SCRUBS.
Joe Smith: Just a different color jumpsuit.

overalls either 1x 2x and so on.twice a week the change them and one pair of used underware your whole stay there and you wash it in the sink and this is the honest to God truth!
